Programme Overview
Programme Description
Despite the emergence of innovations in payments and digital business models, cash continues to play an important role in the economy. As the entrusted entity that issues currency, central banks need to ensure a secure, efficient and effective currency management system for the benefit of the nation. The programme will provide an overview of the Malaysian experience on different facets of currency management and operations, in line with technological advancement. Current challenges and best practices related to day-to-day operations will be examined. The programme will also include discussions on stakeholder collaboration, and using data to drive strategy.
At the end of this programme, participants will be able to identify key factors for successful cash management and operations.
Target Audience
Middle to senior level officials from central banks and related government agencies who are involved in the management and operation of national currency. Participants should have a good knowledge of the approaches used and strategies adopted in their respective countries, and will be expected to share their country practices and drawing from their own experiences.
